4D-ay Concrete Jungle. Singapore.

What can we do in three days in Singapore?
We shopped, couch surfed and explored the concrete jungle!

Singapore is full of malls, mall on top of a mall, these people don’t mess around. They are serious about shopping!

Technology is freaking high tech. No one waists their time reading newspapers, newborns are born with hand held mobile devices. Walking on the streets, in the malls, in the metro, they are texting, talking, gaming and web browsing. Is like drinking mate in Buenos Aires. “Wanna have sex tonight?” Not without my mobile. A mobile city, state, island, and country.

Once again we used couchsurfing.com where we stayed with hilarious Mr. Vic. A rich dude, who has an amazing apartment with a cool view, and a huge swimming pool. We spent our first night on his balcony getting hammered, he cooked delicious Indian food, fed us with Tiger beer, white wine, red wine and we all got along very well. I love this couch surfing, it really gives us an opportunity to meet unique people. Vic was super cool. As he would say it, “That was sexy, cool”
Next day, while on a hangover we explored Singapore’s best, the Underwater World in Santosa.

So what to do in Singapore besides shopping and Underwater World? We ate really good food in the food courts, they are everywhere and on the local street market where Vic showed us best satay in town. We visited the famous hotel, with a pool lounge that overlooks the skyscrapers skyline. Vic was supper kind and took us around everywhere with a TAXI. Everybody in Singapore uses taxis. I think the best thing to do in Singapore is to check out the Salsa Club. Where Asians get down and are dancing “sexy”. Quite the unexpected. Too bad we didn’t get any photos of that.

Singapore was a quick stop in our travels. A stop in the future. Technology is taking over people!! Get ready! Soon there will be no eye contact!
